New, updated report - Latest Update: Man Killed In I-684 Crash In Northern Westchester Had False ID, Police Say

The crash happened on Sunday, April 14 around 3:15 p.m. on Interstate 684 North in Bedford, when a vehicle left the roadway near mile marker 13.9 north of Exit 4 (Route 172) and collided with a tree, Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police said on Tuesday, April 16.

Earlier Report - Serious Crash Causes Delays On I-684 In Bedford

The driver, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of their family, was killed in the crash.

The incident caused delays stretching back to Exit 3 (Armonk) on Sunday.
